Little Things

Click hI have been doing major work in the front garden.  When I say major, it is for me.  I found the grass had taken over the garden.  It was so prolific it had grown on top of plants and killed them.  I am hoping mulching right will put an end to that.
I was suited up big time.  I had my safety goggles on, my hat and gloves.  I was not got.  Normally the roses get me no matter what I do.  Not this time.
It was a total surprise what got me.  It was when I had discarded the gloves etc. and was preparing lunch.  I needed to break up the noodles (I add a can of chicken which apparently makes it nutritious.  I reckon that is a small price to pay for something that tastes so good to me).  I cut my finger breaking up the noodles.
It is incredible to me how it is the little things that get me.  So often I prepare for major events and take every precaution possible.  It is when I relax my guard that something little comes to bite.  The response of my body seems to be disproportionate to what transpired.  It is only a little cut but I feel it.  I feel it when I put my gloves on.  I feel it when I am eating.  I feel it when just sitting.
I have had my eyes opened to the implication of small things.    Just because something is minor, does not mean it cannot have major consequences.   Little moles need to be looked at.  Little growths need to be treaded right.  For the best outcome I need to keep the cut clean and covered.  In the garden, I have found that small things can become big.  Please be careful what you tell my wife, as I need to milk this if possible.
The weeds once seemed inconsequential.  They were not that way when I removed them.  The good thing for me was, just by removing a few, the impact looked large.  Just as well for me we had just had 26 ml of rain, and the weeds were shallow rooted.  Some weeds are small and deep rooted.  They can be so hard to remove.
I can be really thick.  I was given a new email to use.  After being told for about the fifth time I started to use it.  I can learn something, and need to relearn it a number of times before it sinks in.
I will try and be just as diligent concerning the little things as I am with the big ones. Hopefully it is not something I will need to revisit regularly.  Everything matters.  Big things and little things.ere to edit.
