Limitations

​Better late than never. Well I hope so anyway. I think this is the latest I have ever posted. I did not get up until just before 5am. After doing a couple of things I did not think I had time to write before Merril and I went out before 6am for a prayer meeting at church.
We had a new fella there this morning which was great. While we were there, people arrived to get stuff as they are having a sausage sizzle somewhere later. Two of them joined us for a bit. So there we were with five of us. That has never happened before. It seems records really were made to be broken.
This being a public holiday has meant we have had to change arrangements. We were going to have lunch with a bro here at 12.30. Merril was going to the bank before that, but we have realized some places will not be open. So we changed the lunch booking. Again.
I was reading about accepting limitations. The author stated there was a good chance they would be misunderstood. They are all for realizing potential. In fact, they stated that we are full of potential and limitations. The potential side of things is often mentioned by motivational speakers and that is great.
What is not often mentioned is the fact we have limitations. Like time. Rich or poor, the head of a corporation or a bus driver we all have 24 hours a day. And physically some are as strong as oxes while others like me need help lifting stuff. Unfortunately, the colour we are is often a limiting factor as far as opportunities are concerned. Many times it takes effort foreign to many to came to the same starting point.
They are just a couple of limitations that come to mind. It seems to me they need not be dwelt on, but they do need to be recognised and acknowledged. After all, amazement is often built on reaching potential having overcome limitations.
So today is another day. I had thought to do more work around the house, but the thought I do one day a week of hard physical activity seems attractive. We shall see.
