Yesterday was a full and good day.

Merril and I started it as per normal at 6am of a Monday praying for lots of stuff. Then a mate was coming to our home around at 9am. Before that I set up a metal collection area so we and neigbours could leave metal for a pick up. I rang the metal collection people and they said they could pick up metal in the 4th of October. I added a few things we have.

After the visit I tried to have a rest before I was going to work in the yard. Waste of time really. I got a phone call from someone who was working on a garage door of ours. They proved over the phone that the motor had died. I had a new one installed and the unit tested and set up.

Merril had gone and done some banking. I wandered out the back and slowly did things I have wanted to do for ages. A back corner of the property had been severely neglected. I spent time changing that. The place looks really neat now. Not the sort of thing others may go “wow” to but the sort of thing we know is a wow thing for us.

I am ready to go on to the next area that needs work. My wood pile. I had heaps of wood there. So much in fact that part of the structure holding it had collapsed. I want to work on that area next.

I have had a change of attitude. I was keeping heaps of wood “just in case.” Now I ask myself why? Looking at it there is a heap of wood I will never use. Sorting through it will happen.

Merril and I had decided we wanted to visit the table tennis people in the evening and then have take away. We both had a chat to some we knew at the table tennis club.

After going to the club we came home, ate, watched some tele and went to bed. It was a good day. Not exactly earth shattering. Not the sort of day that would go down in history. But the sort of day that will go down in our histories. An inch by inch day. Significant for us
