It was all happening

We were pretty well zombies by the end of the weekend.  We knew it was going to be a biggy.
It had started with the free lunch on Saturday.  I had set up for that on Friday afternoon.  What I did not expect was a phone call Saturday morning saying there was no gas.  I drove down  and pick up four containers for swap and go.  I had seem the day before a service station near by had a swap and go center.  I took all four there.
Trouble was I was told there may not be many with the new thread.  They were right.  There was one.  Another couple had arrived just after me and were after one.  I let them have it and went to another place near by.  They did have four.  Just. The fouth was the last bottle available. There were plenty of empties and a number of full ones with the old thread.
Anyway I had what I needed and took them to where they were needed.  I then went home.  Merril was finished cooking and ready to go to the lunch.  We did that and then set up the place ready for Sunday.  There had been a few things left to do but we decided that would be done first thing Sunday.
We did them on the day and attended our service.  It was great.  Something is definitely happening as the atmosphere is second to none.  We also had a group that will be around for a year and helping us get a youth group off the ground.  We a partnering with Arathusa.  Merril and I will billet one person for a month while they seek more permanent accommodation.
Straight after the service Merril and I went to a family get together (Merrils side of the family) being held at a restaurant in Sandgate.  It was nice to get together.  It is an event held mostly yearly.
After that we drove home.  I learned then we were accommodating one person for a month from next week end.
Any plans we had for the evening did not happen.  We were both exhausted so we watched some tele and retired for the night.
