Injustice

The past is the past.  It cannot be brought back.  It cannot be changed.  Yet I know some who choose to live there.  Refusing to move on.  Refusing to let go.
I see situations where some say they can never move past what has happened.  Instead there is a desire to make others pay for a life time.  There is no desire to fulfil their own destiny, but only a desire for repayment of what has happened in the past.
There is no doubt in my mind that injustice needs to be dealt with. It is never right.  It is never fair.  My thinking concerns how it is dealt with and it seems to me there is a great going about it at the moment in a way that impacts negatively those not the source of the problem.
What does amaze me is that there are a multitude who have suffered indignities in the past, but moved on.  Those who have reason to point fingers and not let go.  I know some.  Yet while acknowledging injustice, and doing what they can to rectify it, they move on with life endevouring to become what they can become.
I am a great believer in consequence, and I am also a great believer in destiny.  In my life I have suffered injustices and could be excused for camping at them and not moving on.  Yet personally I feel that is counter-productive.
So often it seems that an injustice come to terms with by someone and the healthy lifestyle that is produced, is a source of inspiration and action, to one suffering the same thing.
There seems to be a great wondering what has gone wrong with society.  “You owe me” has come to dominate.  It is not just the thought but the strident claim of being owed, and the sense that I won’t let go or give you any rest until you give me what I feel I deserve.
Yet to me injustices will come.  They are unfortunately a part of this life.  I do not condone them and look forward to the day when they are not a daily part of life.  Yet right now they are.  It is my choice whether I camp at what has happened (or will happen) to me, or face tomorrow as another day.  A day, informed by my experiences, but a day in which I choose to be a part of the answer rather than a part of the problem.
