How You Bin?

Hmmm, I am on holidays.  Well that is my excuse anyway.  Merril gave me something to put in the bin as our car drove out of the complex.  I thought it was a cardboard coffee cup.  It was actually a small car bin.  I never looked.  I threw out the whole thing.  I got rid of the rubbish and the bin.  I only found out when Merril rolled down the window and said she just wanted the rubbish gone and not the whole bin.
It was one of those big metal bins and designed to receive rubbish from 22 apartments.  It was gone.  Unless I jumped in the bin and fossicked around for it and that was not going to happen.
Maybe my subconscious was at work.  I had always felt it just got in the way anyway.  What ever the reason I did not mean for that to happen, and I was left shaking my head and reliving the experience many times.  Merril did not need to say anything.  My inner voice brough it up regularly.  I did learn a lesson though.  Look at something before disposing of it.
I suppose that was just the start of our adventure.  Merril completely forgot we were checking a place while we were out.  I reminded her and we decided to do it on the way back.
We headed straight for a bookshop we were visiting.  I find it is a really dangerous place to go.  We always come away with books galore.  Stuff we did not know existed until we saw it on the shelves.  It is amazing how something like that becomes a “must have.”  But Merril is reading one of those books now.  The ones we brought have been put to one side.
I am reading one I brought but I am looking forward to reading a couple I got today.  I have really liked some of the things I have read and highlighted some stuff. “Not gun control but heart control” “not violence in the streets but vigilance over our souls.”  The writer was walking the streets of LA after the LA riots and said he felt the neighbourhood was still simmering. I really like some of that written stuff.
We then went and bought some groceries we needed.  While there we had lunch.  That was ideal as it meant when we arrived back at our unit, we did not need to concern ourselves with the preparation of stuff.
That was great as we could go and have a rest.  Which we did.  How we are up reading.  I still shake my head over the bin episode though.
