Holiday Time

Well here we are on holidays and I have decided on my superpower.  For this time I am VEGE MAN!  I will be really good at sleeping if I want to and reading books and staring meaningfully into the long distance (as opposed to the middle distance which I do at home)
There will be other abilities which will be displayed as the holiday progresses.  We have not even been here a full day yet.
Yesterday my sleeping ability was on display.  It surprised me.  Normally I get like an hour or two in the afternoon.  This time though it was like 4.5 hours.  I did not get up until 7.30pm.
Trouble was, I missed the show I like to watch.  Foreign Correspondent.  If there was no daylight saving, I would have been 30 minutes early.  As it was, I was 30 minutes late.  Still no matter.
Another thing that got me too is I still wake up around the same time.  Before 4am.  I did wonder if having the long sleep in the afternoon would affect my night time sleep.  No problem.  It was like the sleep in the afternoon had not happened.
I still have my deep thoughts though.  Like “It’s holiday time horar horar, I’m going by ship I’m going by car.”  Well maybe not so deep.  There are no hidden layers of meaning.  I do like to rhyme at times. Holiday time seems good.  I like to rhyme all the time.  It does not cost a dime and it is not a crime.  Sad really.  I like to go through the alphabet in my head finding rhyming words.  Like rhyme, crime, dime, fine, grime etc.  Some words fit and some do not.  Maybe if I were a rapper I would use every word, I heard, no matter how absurd, if it occurred to me.  But no.  I am not a rapper.
We have been coming to this place a number of years.  We really like it here.  We have the top level of a three-level complex which is the last unit before a creek.  Any building happening happens on the other side.  It is happening now.  When we first came there was an abandoned house on a block.  It has gone now.  High rise units are going there.  I am amazed how much they fit on one block.  It is not finished but every apartment has been sold bar one and it is under contract.
I will not give it much thought, but I question why they are called apartments when they are close together.
Oh well.  It is holiday time horar horar.
