Sigh.  I guess we all have our cross to bear.  My handsomeness is mine.  I would be surrounded by jealousy and envy for sure.  The fact it has never been expressed I put down to politeness.
People act like it is easy, but it is not.  Being such a great example of a hulk of manhood comes at a price.  I need to ask myself all the time do people like me (that in itself is a presumption) for my handsomeness, or because of who I am.
People think it would be great to be me (there actually may be something in it for the first). If only they could walk in these shoes and look through these eyes for a moment, they would see that it is blurry.  I mean they would see it is possible to be surrounded by adoring fans and still be lonely.
Sometimes it all gets too much.  A moment’s peace is all I ask.  It would be great to be able to go out into the public incognito.  Oh I’ve tried to disguise myself.  I guess it is shyness that causes mothers to gather small children and head out fast.  Most do not give me a second look, but I know what is really going on.
Home is really my only escape.  But I fall for the same trick every time.  When there is a knock at the door, I answer it.  Don’t these people know that at my home is not a good place to be getting my autograph.  Besides, a signature is less special when it is everywhere.  I guess I should advertise where I will be between 10 and 11 am.
This may seem like a bit of a whine, but I can only take a procession of cars following my car for so long.  It would be great to be able to go shopping and pick up a can of milo without cameras flashing all the time.  Or to not be suddenly seeing documentaries on milo.  I reckon it would be better for the shop keepers if the crowd were more spread out rather than following one person all the time.  Although being in that store prompts a lot of selfies taken in front of the cans of milo.  I hope they buy something.
It is embarrassing getting a police escort home and the traffic chaos caused by just wanting a can of milo.
But I do live in hope.  Perhaps today I will be able to do the shopping like a normal person.  That may be asking too much though.
(Ps I would say this is all said tongue in check, but it is really hard to talk with my tongue in my cheek)
