Good. Different.

Well today proved to be just as interesting and even busier than I anticipated.
There was the usual getting ready for the Sunday morning service.  Merril was doing media.  I did my usual running around making sure all looked ok.  We have a food pantry which is open twice a week.  We provide coffee and a place to sit where people can wait to go in. (there is a limit to how many we can have in there at one time as it gets really crowded.
So on Sunday mornings I make sure the church looks like a church and do various other things.  I am the door greeter often and in charge of the floor roster so I ensure all are there and find replacements if I need to.
All went well.  Merril was great on the media and I try to ensure people know they are welcome.  Normally afterwards we have a cuppa and chat to various ones.  If I am doing the videoing, I give the card to the relevant person and put away what I use.
After that it is our custom to order fish and veg in the afternoon.  Not today though.  We had a family get together.  So we left as soon as the service was over and picked up Merril’s dad.
It was an enjoyable get together.  Merril’s family were there.  The star attraction was a new grand-daughter for one of Merril’s sisters.  She had been brought up with the parents from Sydney.  The mum’s mum was visiting from Holland.  I really enjoyed the company.
I shouldn’t rave about the food but I will.  It was delicious.  I had elephant suffiency.  After dessert I was comatose.  
When I came home I did notes of this mornings message.  Often they are already done but occasionally like today I do them up.  I also do the attendance records.  I have realized that I should complete this now as we have a full day planned for tomorrow.
It is now 7.40 and time to veg.
