It seems I hear it a bit these days “what goes around comes around.”
I tend to agree because I have seen it heaps.  Yin and yang some call it.  Others say do to others as you want others to do to you.  Whatever it is called, it really does seem to me that it happens.
I bought a place and my chief concern was for the person I bought it off.  When I signed, the pool pump was fine.  When I took delivery of the place, the pool pump needed to be fixed.  It seemed they changed the pool pump.  I saw them at a shopping centre.  The girlfriend high tailed it out of there when I mentioned the pool pump.
I was concerned for the previous owner because I have seen it so often – give fraudulent and get fraudulent.  Last I heard the place he bought was really hot and needed heaps of work done.  I would not wish it on anyone, but it did not surprise me.
How often is a person unapproachable and unapproachable people around them is their lot.  Or someone is morose and acts like the world is against them and they attract people who are morose.  It seems like attracts like.
The hard thing about that is that their experience seems to validate their beliefs.  Never mind that a change is needed to break the cycle.  Until change happens, they continue to get what has been their experience to date.
I was playing cricket with someone who expected the worst.  They got it.  It was not manufactured, it just happened.  I am amazed at how often I hear someone rail against something and it is really just telling me something about themselves.
In the same way that the worst can happen, the best can happen.  I look at people like Florence Nightingale or Mother Teresa or people that hid Jews from the Nazi’s, like they are saints.  But it seems to me they had not hit on a magic formula.  Their secret to me was they gave good and they got good.
To me it does not need to be some earth-shattering thing I do.  It can be really simple like easing someone’s load.  Doing something good and unexpected.  It seems when things are habitual they come more naturally.  I don’t want my doing something nice to be out of the blue.  I would much prefer that doing things like that was the norm.  To do otherwise would be out of the blue.
Biting off more than I can chew is to me a no-no.  Sometimes I need to cut up tough food into small pieces to chew and digest it.  Giving good is a bit to me like that.  One big act may be hard.  Many small acts are easier.  Besides, do it often enough and it becomes a good habit.
