Fresh is Best

Fresh is best.  Why on earth would I say that, let alone think it?  Well there is a method to my madness, but others may need patience to see any connection.
I was thinking about this because of the stuff I have written.  In most cases it is unknown if something I post was written today or last year.  For some things that can be discerned, but for others it cannot.
I am working on the assumption that what I write is read.  From the feedback I get I think it is.  Ok, it does not number in the thousands, but one other is one more than me.  Besides what I write I get something out of, and if it applies to another great.  Some stuff I write though is just “weird me.”
I was best man at a guys wedding.  Of late, I have not seen him in many years.  Our paths do just not cross.  I asked him when I saw him, what do you do when you know people you are talking to just do not take it in.  He said, I talk to myself.  That to me is a great philosophy.  What he says means something to him.  Besides, he is always guaranteed an audience of at least one.  His wife would make it two.  He has a few kids now, so that would make it at least four.  I have never heard him talk just to hear his own voice.  That does not mean everything is deep and meaningful, but nothing that is said is a write off or meaningless.
If something is important enough to say, then surely it is important enough to do.  In a sense whatever I say, needs to start with me.  I reckon it is pointless to spruik something that is words only.  I may look great (I can try anyway), but I need to live with me.  Words only, do not cut it for me.  Actions really do speak louder than words.
That is not to say that sometimes there is not a gap between my words and actions.  I just hope though the gap narrows when it is in everyone’s interest that it does.  I live in hope, as that is the best I can do.
Back to “fresh is best” though.  Some things I learned years ago.  Other things I learned today.  I will never despise what is old, but I will always get most excited about what is new. The question then becomes for me (and I am good at answering questions that are not even being asked) when should I post something?
I am thinking new stuff is good, but then what is new to me may be old to someone else.  On that basis it really does not matter when I post something.  As long as it has helped me, then there is a chance it will do the same for another. 
To me, I am just giving it our best shot.  I am enriched by you, and hopefully you are by me.
