Frenzied Activity

Yesterday was positively maniacally busy. We went out twice as often as we have on any other day here. We went out twice.

Previously we had gone out once in the day. But this time, in what you could call a frenzy of activity (if you were not used to seeing anything at all happen). Once in the morning and once in the afternoon – with many hours between in the unit, reading, sleeping, eating.

In the morning we decided we would go for a walk and take some photos. We went in the opposite direction to what we had been. We did notice how similar this walk on the Gold Coast was to the one we went on on the Sunshine Coast. The set up was the same with water and a park on one side of the road and houses and units on the other.

The first thig we came across after crossing a bridge to the park was a church setting up for a family day. They had kids activities and they were friendly people to talk to. Soon after that we came across some exercise equipment. All I see such things as good for are photo opportunities. Some people did use the equipment as it was intended.

I was pretty hungry at this point and we utilized a place set up to feed and water people. We both ordered a coffee and BLT. The environment to eat it was relaxing. By this time we had decided enough was enough so we headed home.

We stayed in the unit until around 4 pm. That was when we both spent time reading and resting. I listened to some music as well.

Then we headed off to fish. It is all a learning curve and I had spent less on bait this time. Probably just as well as the fish behaved exactly the same as on the Sunshine Coast. Small fish took our bait. Merril managed to catch one. We both managed to get snagged and lose gear. It was a pretty place but we both headed to the unit deciding to give it a go another day in a different location.

It was a good day and the halfway point of our time away. This is great and we know we really needed from time to time.
