Food

I think I am one of those annoying people who can forget to eat.  I know I hear mostly about the opposite end of the spectrum, but for me it is true.  I have more trouble with other things then food.
Mind you, I know when I need to eat, and I enjoy food big time.  I will never forget when I lived by myself knowing I had to eat.  It was a matter of urgency.  I stopped doing anything else and concentrated all my attention on hunting and gathering.  I knew if I did not have anything, I was likely to faint.
Since my stroke though I have put on four kilo’s.  I think it has something to do with a more sedentary lifestyle.  I tend to do major work in bursts and because I am not as young as I was, my body tends to let me know at the end of the day.
Weird saying that.  I’m not as young as I was.  That is actually true for ever second that passes.  I am not as young as I was when I started typing this sentence.
Anyway there is no doubt in my mind that although I can seemingly take it or leave it when it comes to food, I am happy to take it and mostly do.
I do remember being commended for ensuring I had one decent meal a day when I worked and lived alone.  I would go to a place that sold reasonably priced meals and have one.  I ate lighter at home, but it mattered less as I had had a decent meal.
I guess it is good having that choice.  Some don’t.  Some do not eat because there is nothing to eat.
Right here right now all is good.  I can go to the supermarket and the choices are huge.  Except when it comes to eggs.  Avian flu is causing problems.
Too much to choose from.  Definitely a first world problem but one I am happy to live with.
