People did not know what they were missing out on.
Merril and I started the day with a trip to Northlakes.  It is exactly the same distance from here as it is to Morayfield or Northlakes.  Merril wanted to get an Apple Watch and we had decided Northlakes was the more likely place to have one so we went there.
They had one ok but the data breach meant they needed extra layers of security.  Getting one and getting it connected to the network took ages.
There was a free lunch at N3C at 11am and we were going there.  We had left our place for Northlakes about 8.30 but we were still late for the lunch.  Eating was preceded by some songs and a chat.   The singing was unbelievably good.
One thing Merril and I noticed on arrival was there were way less people than last time.  I thought people do not know what they are missing.  Merril came up to me and suggested we visit some parks and let homeless people know what was on offer.  We grabbed some leaflets and jumped in the car to visit two parks.
We could not believe what we came across.  No-one.  The parks were devoid of people.  Oh there was a couple of people kicking a ball around and at the other park there was someone who had pulled up in a car and was eating lunch already.
Fair dinkum we did not expect that.  We heard later that something else was on that day and hoped that people had gone to that.  Judging by the road though, the evidence was not strong.  It was unbelievably busy.  Local knowledge caused us to choose a rout that helped us avoid the bottle neck we saw.
So we got back and there was food galore.  We have a food pantry that was open and a few availed themselves of what was on offer.  We were able to have heaps.  Merril and I were ready to go without but that was totally unnecessary.
I reckon we should enjoy it while we can as that was the first time ever and likely to be a rarity.
