Floored

It was time to do something about the outside sitting area.  I had the flooring rolled and in the garage.  I had cleared the area it was to go, but had felt it was too heavy or me to move and lay it.
It was getting to me though.  I had decided I could roll it out and have a look at it.  That is what I did.  When it was unrolled I decided it needed at least a boy clean.  I grabbed the mop and bucket and thankfully I knew which end of the mop to hold.  I did measurements and decided it needed to be cut.
So here I was with a clean rolled out floor covering.
After a rest in the early afternoon I decided that I could attempt to move it.  It took effort.  In fact it took a lot of effort (though for someone else it may have been easy peasy.)  After lining it up with the door I huffed and I puffed and got it inside.
This is where what I am big on came into play.  Merril gave me a hand at this stage and we put it into place and cut it.  She had good ideas which we employed.  They included using double sided tape on the bottom to hold it in place.  And then a girl clean.  Which I happily concede is a good clean.
But as I say I really like teamwork.  Different ones bring different skills and ideas to the table.  I could have done it, but it looks better for the two of us doing it, and things are so much easier when a team gets into things.  Things take half the time and what was not considered is considered.
Now of course what remains is to repopulate the area. We are hoping that can be achieved by Monday evening.  We have a number of engagements we are doing on top of the sitting area, but that is one we can come back to.
Then there is the bbq area to do.  But having done the sitting area, which, while still requiring major work feels so much easier.  What was learned in one area will be taken to the new area.
It may be happening slowly but it is happening.
