Enthusiasm

​For the last several weeks I have decided to write my post of a Monday after Merril and I return from what we do early of a Monday.  That is unless I wrote it the day before.  I have found I am better off mentally having a relaxing start to the day then a manic one.
I asked Merril what would be something to write about today, and she said the word “enthusiasm.”
I am ok with that as it has been something I have been thinking about a bit of late.  Why?  Because I acknowledge sometimes I am really enthusiastic and sometimes I am not.  In the cases where I am not it is one foot in front of the other just doing what I know is right for me to do whether I feel like it or not.
The Cambridge dictionary defines enthusiasm as, “a feeling of energetic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it”
The key thing for me is the word “feeling”.  I find enthusiasm is usually there at the start of something.  It really helps me in starting on a particular road.  Not that I think enthusiasm makes a particular thing is right for me.
I have found that when I am able to make something happen, I tend to prove to myself that something is not just a thought bubble.  I have things suggested to me that are great ideas.  If in time someone still has a particular idea that I consider a goodie I will do what I can to assist.  I will not follow an idea (unless I really feel it is right for me) that someone suggests as a good idea but is not willing to do anything to make it happen.  So often it seems to me some have an idea, but are really unwilling to make it happen.
What I have found even when an idea is a goodie and enthusiasm is a key part of my motivation, it always requires work.  It does not matter to me if an idea is definitely a goer there will inevitably come a time when I am flat and enthusiasm is a thing of the past.  At that point it time I see if I really want to make something happen or if it just seemed like a good idea at the time.  But I am thankful that if an idea is right for me the enthusiasm returns. 
This amazes me.  I decided to reduce my posts from 300-500 words and already this one is over 430 words.
To me an idea is not right of wrong based on enthusiasm alone, but I am really grateful for it when it is there.
