Dinosaur

Our dinosaur has gone and I miss him.
I reckon it was them trick or treaters.  We had him up until Halloween.  He disappeared that night. I hope whoever has him is looking after him.  Life can’t be easy with three legs rather than four.  Still, I never heard him complain once.
Either he was abducted, or he just decided to leave home.  He may have felt it was time he made his own way in the world. I just don’t like to think of him wandering the streets alone and disoriented.  Eating random people.  He has a home here.  He is always welcome.  We found he really didn’t eat much.  He was incredibly faithful guarding the letter box.
It seems though, him scaring the mail person into not leaving us any bills, was a bit of a dream.  I would have thought those big teeth and the fearsome look would have put the mail person off.  Not so apparently. Maybe being blue worked against him.  Apart from him, I have never seen a blue dinosaur.  I guess not everyone is colour blind.  Isn’t it what is on the inside that counts?
He only ate people because that is what dinosaurs do.  It is not like he had a vendetta against anyone.  Being eaten was never personal.  We all need sustenance.  He may though, have had a vendetta against one brochure delivery person. I mean who would like to have brochures left on their head?  I can’t think of anyone…except for maybe Tom and Clyde.  Oh and Mary and Pat and Dulce and their friends and family.  But apart from that no-one.  Not counting the Robertson’s or the Jones’s and the McPhee’s and a multitude of others. Not a person.
I mean what is good for humans is good for dinosaurs’ right?  Personally I would not blame him for making a mental note of who lumbered him with that indignity.  Other brochure droperoperoperopers treated him with the respect he deserved.  One even arranged the brochures in such a way as to make sure he was comfortable.  If I was wearing a hat, I would take my hat off to that person.  Still as they say, horses for courses.  Though since we had the dinosaur horse was no longer plural.  Horse singular.  Wonder what happened to that horse?  The dinosaur suddenly putting on an incredible amount of weight was just coincidental I am sure.  He did not really eat a horse.  I just made that bit up.
So if you see a three legged blue dinosaur wandering the streets, it is ours.  It is probably best you do not approach him, but if you do, remember it is not personal.  Just let us know where he is, and we will take care of the rest.
In the mean time we will go and get another one.  I will though try to remember to let him sleep inside at Halloween.
