Desire Bundling

I apologise if it seems like James Clear world here at the moment.  I am going through his book “Atomic Habits” slowly.
I have seen something recently I think is a great idea.  The chapters are really short. (the latest was 10 pages).  I do like that.  It seems there are few things more disincentivising for me to study than really long chapters.  The previous chapter was 7 pages.
One thing for sure though they are packed with good stuff.  The latest thing he has been talking about he has given a name that I am changing for me.  He calls it “temptation bundling.”  I am calling it “desire bundling.”
I may have misunderstood him but temptation to me always has negative connotations.  I never see temptation as anything but negative.  It is not something I want though good generally comes from resisting or avoiding it.
Desires on the other hand to me can be both good and bad.  For a poor example watching tv may be good for me to relax.  Watching too much tv is bad for me in that I can avoid what I really should be doing.
I just looked at the chapter and read “desire is the engine that drives behaviour.”  He talks about combining what he calls habit stacking with desire bundling.  A good example is the desire someone has to exercise more (need) but they spend an inordinate amount of time on social media (want).  He suggest checking social media (want) after doing say 10 push ups (need).  In other words the want is seen as a reward for doing the needs.
I do like that as it applies to my life.  It is a way of doing what I need to do and being able to do what I want to do.  It is not like I neglect what is needful because I only do what I want.
The bottom line to me is my wants do not happen at the expense of my needs.  My wants fulfilled are a reward for fulfilling a need.
For me this is good stuff.  Even if only like 2% sticks I reckon I have had a win.
