Curious

The following is a quote from a James Clear email.  To me the first paragraph needs clarification but I very much like what he is getting at.
When I say the first paragraph needs clarification, it is because I reckon we all have something that we are curious and driven about.  It was given to us – but I think he is right.  It was not given to us as we go through life.  It was given to us for life.  It is a trait of all.  It is something all have and the fact it differs from what others may be given is necessary for the successful functioning of society.
"People can help you in many ways throughout life, but there are two things nobody can give you: curiosity and drive. They must be self-supplied.
If you are not interested and curious, all the information in the world can be at your fingertips, but it will be relatively useless. If you are not motivated and driven, whatever connections or opportunities are available to you will be rendered inert.
Now, you won't feel curious and driven about every area of life, and that's fine. But it really pays to find something that lights you up. This is one of the primary quests of life: to find the thing that ignites your curiosity and drive.
There are many recipes for success. There is no single way to win. But nearly all recipes include two ingredients: curiosity and drive."
I admit I am big on the curiosity thing.  Something that sticks with me is someone saying “interest governs memory.”  I find such things true for me.  I tend to ask a lot of questions when curious.
One of my driving forces is to go into something as though I know nothing.  That way I often pick up things I did not know and that I perhaps would not have learned if I had given the impression of knowing it all ready.
The thing for me is people generally want to help.  Most open up big time when asked about a passion they have.  They will pass on what is needed.
To me curiosity is a biggy.  I need it to learn and grow.  Not all will be curious about what makes me curious.  That is ok, as they will be curious about something I find ho-hum.  Yet together a picture is made and the absence of one means the picture remains incomplete.
