Crook

Both Merril and I got crook last night. This is one shared experience we could have done without. Besides, it should only be me getting crook, so I can get all the attention.
Today we have been sort of zombies. Some would notice no change, but we notice it. Merri has spent the day resting, which I believe is the right thing to do. I had things to do which I really could not put off. I am trying to paint a picture here like I am a real hero. So please, on that basis, read on.
I needed to go to the doctor. I was pleased about that. I had blood test results to go through with him. I told him about our being crook last night, and I may as well have told a wall, for all the sympathy I got. That did not go well really. Still, I like him a lot. Some doctors seem to act all superior like. Not this fella though. He did mention something else that he said, if he had a penny for every time it happened, he would be a rich man. I did point out that penny’s are not legal tender in this country, so he would not have been rich. He said he could have said something else.
My cholesterol level is too high, and I have a supplement now for that. My vitamin D level is too low. Eating more oily fish (like salmon) will help that. Before we were married, Merril used to eat a lot of that. It sounds like we should again. Seems like a win win to me. If one can be pleased to get bad news, I was glad he said my salt levels were too low. The dietitian had said the western diet is too full of salt, so I have not added salt to anything. It turns out I can, without negative repercussions. Yay. I was so not taking to unsalted peanuts.
After the visit to the Doc, I went shopping with my bro. After what was bought was safely put away, I went home and slept.
This arvo, the pool man came to the place I rent out. It is the first time I have had him visit. He did what he needed to do, and told us what needed to be done regularly. He did mention something he thought may be serious, but I did not want to go there. Terrible I know, but I really am a bit of a minimalist. As no one is using the pool, I want to get it good now, and cover it, and deal with what has to be dealt with later.
Anyway his visit is over, and I am back home and it is now. This is like me, real time. I called off going out tonight. I have the op. in about 39 hours so I am trying to be good to myself, and running around tonight may not be the best thing.
Time for a nap I reckon.
