Creepy Crawlies

Life is nothing if not exciting right now.  Admittedly most of it is excitement I could do without, but it is that way nonetheless.
Merril went to spend the night with a family member.  That was only decided late in the day.  Merril came home from having a hair cut to declare she was going out again.  Turned out it was an all nighter
I spent most of the day in the air conditioning.  I was wondering why I still felt so fatigued.  I did not know if it was because of the heat, or it was a carry over from Covid.  I wanted to do another test and Merril was getting tests from the chemist.  She had tried the day before and been told that a large chemist chain had none in Brisbane.  It is out there for sure.
I was amazed when I did a test late in the day that I still have it.  It was day 10.  I want to talk to a doctor today to find out what is going on.  I really thought it would all be gone by this time.  I am still thankful though that it has been really mild.
What I thought I would do when it had cooled down and I had no idea covid was still in my system is prepare the place for mowing.  It meant clearing a few things from the yard.  While I was there I heard a noise in the shed and wondered what it was.  I went inside only to see a large snake disappearing into the wall.  I spoke to the snake catcher who said once they disappeared into walls there was nothing they could do to get them out. It disappeared into the wall as we spoke.  It looked like a python.  I want it gone but it definitely could be worse.
In the morning I decided to have a shower.  When I hopped in I saw on the floor what I thought was a cockroach.  Turned out it was a spider.  I decided I really did not want a shower and backed out.
It is funny, I had been in the yard in the last few weeks and looking out closely for creepy crawlies.  I did not find them but have inside.  Life in the burbs can be pretty exciting too.
