Coming and Going

This is the sort of week end I really look forward to but am glad when it is over to.
Saturday morning we had our market.  We run it for an hour and a half and everything is two dollars.  We had had a really good day last Wednesday and did not have as much as usual on display.  Our goal is thirty dollars a time and all proceeds go to our food pantry.  It provides low-cost food and is really helpful to all, and those doing it tough in particular. 
I wondered how we were going to do it.  As per usual I need not have wondered.  Someone donated twenty dollars and some things to sell.  We ended up making our quote for the day including a few sales.
That actually was amazing when I consider the sort of week it was.  We went to the Treasure Market earlier and I have never seen it as quiet or less thigs available.  I spoke to the attendant and he said what a quiet week it had been.  A number of places we went were particularly quiet.
We went home for a rest and returned later to set up.  Our church is having a special event.  My challenge was to set up the place with 150 chairs.  Normally there is close to 100.
I had more chairs I could use and had given them a clean in the morning.  It turned out when I had placed most of what I had there were 151 places.  I was wrapped.  The guy in charge was pleased to.  Merril had mopped out the place completely.  It all looked good.
Now really for the event.  We are having stalls in the car park and the event inside from 6 to 8pm.  Then it is pull down.  It is amazing how much goes into something that is over so quickly.
Still, I am sure it will be worth it.  There are so many positives to come out of the event already including working together to make something happen.  There are many parts that make up a cohesive whole.
