Coffee Shops and Cathedrals

My days off of late have been a little different to usual.  I tend to do some work around the yard. Aches and pains go with the territory.  Our front yard has been a bit of an embarrassment to us.  It has been incredibly overgrown.  We joke that Elephants go in there to die.
But last week someone came to quote on tree removal.  There are some trees we would like to get rid of.  Three out the back and two out the front.  By getting rid of I mean one has died and the others are just in the wrong place.  They do not need to be dug out but severely cut back.   If they do a good job, there is the possibility of other work.
It is my custom to listen to music on earphones while I work.  I actually love it.  Sometimes I want to dance, and I generally go to a place in the yard that is not on public view to do it. But I must admit maybe that theory does not cut it as last week a head poked over the fence, and I met the person for the first time.
Anyway this time there was a song that contained words that really sum up how I feel.  It said, “coffee shops become cathedrals.”  It has been my experience that common places are where I tend to meet up with the one who put it together.
Everything has its place but I personally like that I do not need to travel to somewhere special for a meeting.  So often for me working in the yard or washing up or getting together with friends is the place I find good things and more than I expected.
That actually makes sense to me.  Being met where I am at.  Not needing anymore than I am or have.  Feeling that I am relatable.  Wanting to change after a meeting rather than feeling I need to change to have a meeting.
So yesterday I worked in the garden.  I don’t think I did so well near the brom.  That is where the snake lives.  I call that area the “wildlife sanctuary.”  The rest I call the “bush garden.”  It was a good day.  Sometimes it is a hard slog and at other times it is better than anticipated.  That’s life.
