Clutter

Well it is all but over.  This week we have been running around like a chook with its head cut off.  Chief amongst our activities was to get where Stu was living ready for sale or rent. Stu was pretty good really.  He was one of the most organized people I have ever met.
Merril went to another activity she had booked for us both, but she went alone and gave someone my ticket who really appreciated it.  She was hoping they would do the theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon, but it looks like the weather intervened.  They did the outside practical stuff in the morning because it was fine.  So she stayed all day thinking she may have been able to leave at lunch time (she had done the practical stuff before).
I had one task I wanted to get done before visitors arrived (we had organized a get together there).  I wanted to weed.  Actually, I did not really want to weed but knew it was needed.  So that is what I did.
In the blazing sun.  Needed…water….can make it to tap if willing to crawl.  Not quite really.  But I was really glad when it was over.  I did it zombie like.  I strided confidently but once out of sight I slumped and walked really slowly.  Still, it got done.
The place is looking real good.  I have a few more tasks to do, and Merril has a couple she would like to get done but this week we are determined to take the foot off the pedal.  Work will not start again till Wednesday.
We have broken the back of most things to be achieved.  The scrap metal person took away stuff.  We delivered stuff to Trash and Treasure.  We gave some clothing to someone we knew would be interested.  We cleared each room, but left beds and cupboards until we know what we are doing with the place.
Merril wants to go through each room giving it another clean and setting it up.  She is good at that stuff.  She got more than anticipated for her house by spending some time attending to things which made a big difference.
I admit I was over it by lunchtime.  A friend had emailed me saying he could not make table tennis.  Another friend had invited me to the club.  We went there.  I met a couple of interesting fellows I had not met before.  One did the drawings of industrial places.  He was telling me it is all done on computer now.  At times when he works from home he can push buttons and go to sleep and the software does the required design.  We finished the day with a trip to Hungry Jacks drive through.  Friday night is date night but we decided to do it at a more relaxing time.
Saturday we had two appointments and Sunday one.  Now to deal with the clutter at our place that we have brought home.  That will not take long to do.  We are so not into clutter.
