Clear the Deck

We have been clearing the deck of appointments to have Easter and next week off as much as possible.
It is sort of one of those things.  Before we knew it Easter was here.  Not that we were complaining.  We had decided what we wanted to do.  We have got a couple of tasks that we know are time consuming.
But we want to have a break too.  I did not get as far as I would have liked with work on day one, but I did it more thoroughly than I had originally thought. Plus I had a long break.
Merril was also doing something where she tackled the hardest one first.  It took longer than expected but it is over now.  Then we veged in front of the tv.
But the storms were interesting on the first day.  They sounded more serious than any others I have heard this season.  Sometimes I am glad rain seems to split before reaching our area.  Though sometimes we are hammered.
Still it is a good feeling having the pressure off for a bit.
I find it interesting.  In times like this is it almost that I want to do stuff  more.  It seems it is all about “the less I have to do it, the more I want to do it.”  There are tasks that for some reason seem more doable now.
I am sorting through our lending library at the moment.  Something I knew I had to do but seemed to be a big task.  One thing that remains the same is the quality of books we have.  I have gotten more, and a swap is needed, but that is getting harder and harder.
It makes me think I need to do a speed-reading course as there is so much good stuff I would like to read.
So day two of the break dawns.  There is stuff that needs to be done, but it is less than normal, and I am looking at doing things with gusto.
