Change of Plans

Well today turned out differently than planned.
We were going to have lunch with my bro from the Sunshine Coast.  He recently had a birthday, and our intention was to get together with him for a lunch celebration.  Did not happen.
I rang my bro and we reset the time together to next week.  He was good with that and would prefer to have the three of us together rather than one not be there.  He did suggest that Merril’s ears could burn with just the two of us, and I suggested that on top of a cold that would be hard to take.
Merril was crook.  Head cold.  She did have plans for the morning but she let appropriate people know she was not going to be there.
I had plans for the morning and the first part happened.  I normally spend time with a mate that morning.  Sometimes he comes here and sometimes I go there.  I went round to his place today which is just around the corner.  As usual we spent a good time together shooting the breeze.
Seeing as we were not getting together with my bro, I thought I might have the rest of the day off.  Did not turn out that way.  We are trying to sell a vehicle and saw we needed a signature we did not have.  So on Merril’s behalf I went and got the signature we needed.
What I did not know at the time is I left my phone there.  It is a new phone to me.  An iphone 8+.  I got it because I need something compatible with a square.  I intend having a market stall.  Few actually carry cash these days, so I figured I needed a square to sell things.  I had bought one the day before.  They had them behind the counter at office works. 
I set up all the account stuff early in the morning.  I think it is all good to go now.  I am having a stall once per month.
Books also came from England.  They were not available in Australia, so we check an English site when that is the case.  Merril is really good at finding these things.  The  good thing about this site is their prices are comparable to ours and they ship for free. 
They had the books I was after, second hand and used, so I ordered them.  Getting from them means I never instantly have what I need, but I do not need to wait long.  In this case it was about 2 working weeks.
So things were not as I had planned, but it ended up being a good day anyway.
