Busy

Well yesterday was a full day.  We knew it was going to be.  The chief appointment was a specialist’s appointment at 11.45.
Before that we had a few things to do.  We had made a list.  First up was a visit to a lady who had contacted us to say she had eight bags of containers.  I rang her to say we were on our way.  We had a good chat with her when we arrived. 
What impacted me most was the amount of really difficult health issues around her and in her.  She has a really good attitude despite the cancer in the family and the major operation happening today.  Also the serious back issues of a relation who cannot now work and her own health issues.  In it all she has a lovely attitude.
We then had banking to do and while Merril did that I went and got some stuff we needed from Coles.  One thing I wanted, but Merril wanted long life cream which I had never bought before.  I was suitably in need of help and lady attendants came to my aid.  The last even showed me the different types available.  I recognised one brand and got that.  I had to get some other stuff too and did so.  I must admit the price of everything was a shock.
We then went and had some breakfast/lunch before the doctor’s appointment.
I went to that, and an operation was scheduled for Friday week.  I have a couple of liver stones and my gall bladder will be removed.  My regular doctor suspected that when I told him I was getting stiches for no reason.
It is an “out of action” thing for four to six weeks.  I have a bit of planning to do as to how to do that.
Next, we went and picked up my car.  It was getting a Road Worthy certificate and safety inspection.  A few things needed doing.  It is a great car and the one I inherited from my brother when he passed away.  I am sorry to see it go but we have decided it is right as I hardly drive it and lately it has been more of a concern to me than an advantage.  I was driving it so little I was concerned the battery would go flat and it would not start.  It is going to a good home.
That was all in the morning.  The afternoon was full of other things. 
All in all, a good day and one we expected to be busy.  That was the way it was, but we were happy with how it all went.
