Busy

Well today turned out different than I thought.  I guess whatever happens, to expect the unexpected.  Friday I had a huge day planned.  One activity was the electrician coming.  I thought “too much”.  “He will want to use where we are using.”  So I called off my mate.  Turns out the electrician comes next Friday.  Sunday I went to visit some people thinking it was all planned.  When they did not answer the door I rang them.  Turns out the visit is next month, and they were not even home.
With a record of recent events like that anything could happen.  All was good except it all went longer than expected.  Every Monday we start with a prayer meeting at 6am for an hour.  Great way to start the week.  I might have known things would be different when we talked for 30 minutes or so.  We have a list, but it was largely forgotten.  We covered some things on it and felt stuff right at the time was covered.
After that, a couple we know were visiting our home.  We were looking forward to their visit and before we knew it, it was time.  That was really good.  The time flew past.  Before long they were heading off.
Merril had organized some work from 10.30am.  People had volunteered to help.  I had decided I would assist.  I ended up moving boxes.  Guys are good for dealing with bugs and lifting stuff.  That was me.
I had thought I would assist till about 12.30 and call it a day.  I ended up calling it a day at 2.30.
We shouted coffee, but a drive to the place we had in mind showed they were not open.  Merril remembered a drive through place not far away.  I had never been through a drive through coffee joint before.  I am such a country bumkin.  Like when we visited Melbourne, and I saw a guy’s side mirrors were in.  I informed him and he was really polite.  As he drove away the mirrors came out electronically.  I felt I should have been in overalls and hat and chewing on straw. 
We ordered coffee but the girl was by herself so after taking our order she moved to the next window and read out our order and took our money.  Then she made us our coffees.  They were gratefully received by the recipients.  We had a brief break.  Trouble was there were four of us and three places to sit.  I stood drinking my coffee fairly quickly.
Tonight Merril has a zoom meeting at 8pm for an hour, but it could go longer as it is two lessons in one.  She has homework to complete before it starts.  I do not have anything planned.  I know I need to avoid going to bed too early.  When I do I tend to wake up way too early and cannot sleep.  I end up getting up.
Best laid plans though.  I hear the bed calling already.
