Book Fest

As indicated previously there is generally one day per month I do not post.  Not always, but generally.  Yesterday was such a day.  We had a get together of guys we call Menzone.
For me it generally means getting up early to ensure all is prepared for the get together.  I have generally spent time Friday getting the sausages, bacon and onions ready to cook.  The cooking is dine by a friend and I am really grateful for it.  Merril cooks up eggs and I am grateful for that too.
I did not sleep real good Friday night so I started what I had to do super early.  When I checked the time it was after 6am and the guy that cooks had not arrived.  Turned out he had set his alarm incorrectly and he arrived soon after I had started cooking.
We had a couple of guys turn up super early (like 6.30).  That was good as we had a chance to all chat.  Another guy who had never been got lost.  He arrived super late.
It was actually a good turn out as it rained a lot at start time (7am).  There was no rain when we finished but the weather was incredibly iffy.
The same thing happened this time as last.  We finished and no one wanted to leave!  That is great but this time Merril and I were having a book fest.  We had set up most the books on the Friday night and the fest was due to start at 9.30.  Merril and I ade it down there though Merril went to Aldi first as there was a garden item we wanted on sale.
We ended up having people through and gave away 3 crates of books.  The rest we took to life line and I am sure most of them will be a part of their book fest. (which is great as last time they had told me they were not taking any more books.  I was actually pleased we kept them for a bit as there ware a number of titles Merril and I added to our collection)
After that I set up N3C for the Sunday service and after the visit to life line I was cactus.  It was a great day and I was pleased to vege in the evening.
