Better Late than Never

Ok it may not be a world record for lateness, but it does happen more often on a Monday than any other day.
The reason is we start the day so early.  Merril and I are normally out of the home by just before 6am.  Merril wanted to do something else this morning, so it was closer to 5.30am we left home.
It is the time of year where it is well and truly light by around 4.30am.  Ok it is a little while before the sun id due to come up but it is light early.  Closer to Christmas (the summer solstice) the days start getting shorter again.
So we were up and out very early.  We have a time praying early and at least one other person comes.  When they do, we always go to Banjo’s for breakfast afterwards.  We went to Banjo’s this morning and had a great chat together.
Every second week or so a mate of mine comes over to our place for a visit at 9am.  That is what happened today.  I always enjoy our chats and confess I did a bit of this and a bit of that when he went.
Then I watched the news.  Bush fires and someone changing political parties and of course murders.  I did not watched the lot but saw we should not expect a storm later today (contrary to yesterdays forecast).  Instead, it is due tomorrow.
We had one last night.  The feature of it was non-threatening thunder and rain.  There was 30ml in the gauge this morning.  Today  is muggy.  I had a rest after the news.  So did Merril.  She has now gone out to get provisions for dinner tomorrow.  I am taking nibblies which I bought recently.  Whatever she cooks there is no doubt it will be good.
Mondays definitely start in a flurry but mostly end with me catching up with a few things.  Today is like that.  There is stuff to do In the yard but if that happens it will be when it is cooler.  I have worked on one garden bed and potted some plants.  Never mind the plants -  I was starting to wilt though as it got hotter.
But there is more I have thought of to do now.  No Hurry though.
