Better Late Than Never

Well that did not work.  On Mondays Merril and I go out really early.  I had determined I was going to get up at 5am and not go out the back and write till then.  It is all to give the guy next door who does shift work, space.  This way I am not outside with lights on in the morning before he leaves, and out there on the computer when he gets home.
Normally I write something and post it before 5am.  That is not going to happen now.  So I thought maybe between 5am and 6am.  Did not happen. 
We had breakfast with a friend of ours at Maccas and talked till 8.40   It was great but I had someone coming at 9am so we left.  The friend came at 9am and left about 10 am.  So here I am writing.  Latest ever.
But they reckon the definition of insanity is doing something the same way and expecting different results.  So I will not try to write something early in the mornings of a Monday.  My new plan is to write it Sunday afternoon.
Some may say why write at all?  You are retired.  Yes I am, and I could not write but I want to.  And whether I feel like it or not I will do it.  I know it does me good.  I am sorry that maybe you have to suffer through it, but there are times I feel really inspired to write things.  Other times I do not.  Doesn’t matter.  As someone said today about something they had planned, I do it if I feel like it or not.
I reckon the same.  The process and discipline does me good if I am inspired or not.
Anyway, here I am at 10:15 writing for today.  It is as late as I have ever done but I am ok with that.  I learn heaps doing it or I have a chance to think through other things.  Win win as far as I am concerned.
