All's Well

Every day is different.  It may contain the same activities, but the way things pan out varies.   Yesterday I had guys over for breakfast and a chat.  There were 12 of us and I admire anyone who made the effort considering the cold and how nice it would have been to stay under the covers.
I spend part of the Friday before setting up and making sure all was good to go.  It does not take that long but I need to ensure it is as it should be so it is seamless.  I had purchased all that was to be consumed in the preceding days so I could just make certain it was in containers ready to go.  
It was great as a couple of guys had said they would do the cooking (something that is not a strength of mine and I tend to freak about). They arrived around 6am and were taking football so I prepared toast.
I had said I would give a brief message (hopefully of inspiration) on the day, and I spent time Friday  preparing that.  When it came time to talk though I hardly used my notes.  I guess it is a live and learn thing.  Once upon a time I followed notes religiously.  These days I look at them and then go on to say related and relevant things but often things not put down. As far as I am concerned there is a place for both, and what is right depends on the time.
As usual the time flew.  I was up at 4am and at 5am I did the final things that needed doing.  I am finding less and less time is required.  The get together flew by and it seems in no time at all I was saying good-bye to my visitors.  If all’s well that ends well then all’s well.
Merril had to go out to a retirement do of someone she worked with.  I had a sleep and then tidied up and worked in the back yard.  The evening was spent veging.  As usual I am glad it is over and as usual it will come around again pretty quick.
