Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

There is a term I have had on my mind a fair bit lately.  I have not written about it as I did not want to appear to be a harbinger of doom.  It is, “you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
I awoke this morning to word that a British MP had been stabbed to death meeting with his constituents.  This is the second thing like that to happen in Britain and a woman elected official was shot in the face in the US.
There seems to be so much happening of late that is perplexing.  Things happened, but it seems these days so much happens in such a short period of time.
It is not just man’s inhumanity to man that is happening (what ISIS did was unthinkable, as are random acts of terror against innocent people) but it seems nature has gone crazy too.  Global warming may be the reason for the floods and fires, but volcanos and earthquakes? 
I guess the interpretation of events all depends on a person’s framework of reference.  The prevailing thing taught these days is there is no such thing as truth.  There is simply “your truth.”  That makes an assumption I would be hesitant ever to make.  It assumes it is known there is no such thing as truth.  Even many of the most dyed in the wool opponents of faith who exalt science declare themselves “agnostic”. 
They claim they “just don’t know.”  To me that is safer.  If something is known, honest people will put to bed all contrary ideas.  (I am not one to deny facts, but I am also not one to declare theory fact.)  
I am holding to the most reliable thing I have seen.  What is declared is happening.  It is not pretty, but it does get better for heaps.  The news this morning, as horrible as it was, came as no real surprise.
I actually thought about random happenings the other evening while I was fishing.  It was a tranquil happy scene.  People were fishing and others were sitting at tables talking.  While others were exploring what was on the shoreline.
I thought, this is what happens.  People go about doing what they have always done.  They are totally oblivious to the fact that someone in their midst or coming into their midst has evil intent.  Their aim is to shatter the tranquillity and cause a lifetime of regret.
If I did not see it happening, I would not talk about it.  But it is happening.  With seemingly greater frequency.  It used to be that bad stuff happened somewhere else.  Now somewhere else is here.
What I am holding to is the most reliable thing I have found.  If it was a light bulb moment for me only and a few others I would be sus.  But it is a light bulb moment for billions.  I like that.  I do not what to adhere to something that excludes most.  Thankfully I am holding to something that includes everyone.
