Activities

Today (which is yesterday now) promises to be different.
First up I am going to a morning tea.  It is one with a difference though.  It is at a training centre and those serving get assessed on how they do.  We get free coffee and something to eat while they are assessed.  I have been to one before and it is good food and good company .and I am looking forward to it.
Merril and I are then going shopping and one of the things we need to get are “noodles.” Not the kind you eat but the ones used in the pool.  The reason we are getting those is to protect the cover of the spa.  When we take it off it rests on one of the supports of our shed.  It could possibly cut the material the cover is made of, so we are hoping the noodles will provide a barrier to protect the cover.
After that Merril and I are meeting with Brian and his wife for coffee.  Brian is responsible for a web site.  I have said I am willing to help if he wants it.  Apparently he does, and I only have an inkling of what I have got myself into.  He uses word press, but it seems I will need to learn some coding.  Twill be interesting to say the least. Yesterday I volunteered to look after an organizations finances.  Well as much as I can anyway.  Next week I will really see how much is involved.
After that should be lunch somewhere.
We will then come home and around 4pm I will have a table tennis training session with our club coach.  It will only be half an hour.  It is the 1st session I will have had in years.  I am hoping that up is the only way I can go.  I did say at one point that training should be illegal.  Of course that only applies to anyone who plays me.  In this case it needs to be one rule for me, and another for everyone else.
After that I play fixtures.  To do my part I need to win 1/3.  The doubles are an unknown but we won our first doubles last week.  My expectation is high.
Someone is coming up to the club as they would like me to help them with their family tree.  Ok, it is not a place I have been, but I will see what I can do.
I got an email from a friend of mine this morning advising that someone invited to table tennis at my place of a Friday has accepted.  This will make three of us.  When we can, Brad and I have a hit at my place each Friday afternoon for about an hour and a half.  OK we are both table tennis tragics.  It is really good this other fella is coming and I really think he is a table tennis tragic too.
