Acquisitions

It is Christmas time and there will be gifts galore given out.  Some will be useful and others will not. 
I am really hard to buy for, and am thankful for anything I get.  When someone asks “what do you want for Christmas?” I can only think of projects I am doing, and what would help.
Acquisition does not lead to behaviour, but behaviour may lead to acquisitions.
It is strange but I have seen it. It goes something like “if I had this I would do this.”  The person gets what they wanted and uses it for a day and disregards it if lucky.  Certainly down the track it may come in useful, but it seems to me unless someone is doing something, and decides they need an acquisition to assist in the task, then what they get won’t lead to them doing it.  It may briefly, as it is new and shiny and novel, but in the long term nothing changes.
I acquired inspiration for something.  I made a list and everything.  To my dismay no-one else shared in my inspiration.  I took from that that just because it is right for me, it does not mean it is for others at that time.  Unless folk come voluntarily they will not come at all or if they do, they will not play the way you hope and expect.
Oh well.  Have a great Christmas with what you acquire.  I certainly will.
