A New Week

A New Week
Well the weekend is over and it was a goodie.
We had our usual markets on Saturday morning.  Most of the stuff we had was from someone we know.  All proceeds go to the pantry and in this case it was for the supply of food stuffs for the free Christmas lunch we are holding.  We have everything for $2 and it is a real bargain.  It is great how people recognise the value and get thing needed.
As someone said on tv last night with the cost of living the way it is you don’t get much for $50 these days.  A person still doe though when they use the pantry or purchase through the market.
We aim for selling about $30 worth and that is about what we achieved on Saturday.  We do it again Wednesday.
Saturday afternoon we went to the break up of the table tennis club.  It was great to catch up with various ones there.  As usual it was a good time and it was great to see various volunteers rewarded for a job well done.
The rest of the day was spent veging.  I tend to work on emails and Merril reads where possible.  We do look forward to those times.  The fish tank needs a clean but that is a this week thing when we will also purchase some more fish food.
Monday has now arrived and I have an early doctors appointment in town.  We intend to go early for that to avoid the worst of the traffic and ensure we are there in plenty of time.  I really have no idea how long we will be there.
After that is a get together at Chermside for coffee with people I worked with at QUT and some of their partners.  We do it a couple of times a year.
There is nothing planned after that.  There is plenty of work awaiting us around the house.  Stuff I have been putting off until after today.
What ever we do I am sure we will both be glad to do it.
