A Good Time Was Had by All

Well here we are house sitting on the Sunshine Coast.  I thought I had sept in and was thinking it was around six am.  Turned out that was because of the light in adjacent rooms.  I got up and looked at the clock.  It was 3am.  I went back to bed.  Half an hour later I was up again and getting ready for the day.
It has been nice to be on the sunshine coast but it could hardly be called a holiday.  We came up on the Friday but returned again on the Saturday to a do we were committed to.  We decided (at Merri’s suggestion) to return to our house early in the day so we could go straight from there to the afternoon event.
I was in charge of set up and pull down.  I was really glad for a number of helpers.  All went well and did not require an excessive amount of time.  It really was one of those things where if help is not forthcoming it can take hours to do.  But with plenty of help the church was all set up for the next day in close to two hours.
It was the Fun day.  A lot of people came and I would say families enjoyed themselves.  There were a number of organizations present.
Merril and I ran a Market.  We had suggested donations and they had been forthcoming.  We had plenty of good stuff for sale at $2.  We had a good two hours and sold over $70 worth of stuff and met some great people.
To me the set up and planning that went into the event was amazing.  It was good to hear from one person who attends many such events, that we did everything right and it could be expanded if we wanted.
After the event Merril and I took stuff we had brought to our home and then drove back to the Sunshine Coast.  It is rare Merril goes to bed before me but at the end of that day she did.
But here I am the next day, and the sun is still not up.  Habits.
