A Foray to a Concert

I thought the strong win that picked up meant a storm was coming.  Turned out a strong wind meant a strong wind was here.
It did not stop me from bringing a couple of chairs inside and unplugging a few things before we went out.  We had booked into a concert in the evening.  We decided to head up to near where the concert was being held.  It was in Brisbane.
We visited a bookstore on the way.  That was a mistake.  We bought books.  It is not like we do not have enough to read already.  We do.  Now we have more.  We also visited a shopping centre.  I needed to get a computer card reader  (the one on my computer has stopped seeing cards.)
We had lunch there and decided we would come back for a coffee and donut.  We did that.
Then we headed off to the concert.  We were super early and tried to get some shut eye before the doors opened.  We watched various ones arriving.  I was totally surprised to see someone we knew.  We said hi and it turned out they were there with someone in their role as a carer.
It seems the doors opened early as there was a bit of rain around.  We got into the joint earlier than I thought we would.  The first act was a girl from the States.  Her music was something I would like to explore further.  Trouble is though I do not remember her name.
We headed out right towards the end.  We wanted to beat the rush of cars.  We were glad we left when we did as there were way more cars there then we knew about.  So we were on the highway to the place we were staying ahead of others leaving.
It was a great concert but good to be home.  We both feel that is the extent of our commitments and we can concentrate on veging now.
I have some bait for fishing and the camera is charged for photo’s on walks.  We both have books to read. So rain hail or shine really we are snug as bugs in a rug.
