A Different Day

Yesterday turned out to be very different to what I had in mind. I had thought it was the day to go through my wood pile and determine what is wanted and what to get rid of. It is a job that needs doing and has been put off in the past but yesterday was supposed to be the day. Was not though.
Merril and I got up early and went to a prayer meeting as per usual. We and a few others went to about 7am and then chatted. I had a mate coming over at 9am so we excused ourselves and went.
Before they arrived I organized containers for cash. I had been given several bags of containers and I put them all where they go.
The guy arrived and we enjoyed our time together. When they left I had thought that that was the time for action. I was also waiting for the wind to abate to burn off papers and do some mash mellows. Didn’t happen either. The wind never seemed to stop.
I realized I was still cactus from the week before. It had ended up being way huger than anticipated. It was physical work and I am realizing more and more that I have limits I did not know I have.
I decided I would mostly do work on the computer. I had other things to do on it and so the day did not end up being a total rest day I did that. The program did not behave though. It kept defaulting to something I did not want.
In the end I wrote to wix telling them my problem and I am yet to hear from them. I have done this before and no problem. There was a problem this time though.
I was happy I got to do up some leaflets for the neighbourhood telling of a scrap metal collection happening Wednesday. At least two neighbours have added to the pile. I knocked on doors telling what was happening and letting people know they were free to add metal to the pile.
It was a good chance to meet some neighbours’ I had not met before.
So the day turned out different. But o the whole it was as Aldi says. Good. Different.
