A Day in the Life of

It has been sort of different today.  Lately I feel like I have been running around like a chook with its head cut off.  I really have not but I have felt like it.  Today though I have two things happening and time to stare meaningfully into the middle distance.
Right now I am waiting for a guy who comes around sometimes for a hit of table tennis.  As per normal I usually make the other person feel good.  But I live in hope.  I have a strategy.  I actually always do but I mostly do not listen to myself and his always ends up being better.
Oh well.  I enjoy the company and the exercise always does me good.  I generally sleep very well on table tennis nights.
This morning I visited a mate who lives all of less than a kilometre away.  But I always take the car.  Sometimes he comes here and sometimes I go there.  Today I went there.  I always enjoy the visits and we chat and have coffee and biscuits.  I generally need to try and show some restraint with the biscuits.  Hoeing into the first two is sort of understandable but beyond that is not such a good look.   I am much more subdued.
Well I have just finished table tennis with a feeling while not unique I have not had in a long time.  That winning feeling.  Oh I win in doubles regularly.  Maybe I am kidding myself I but I reckon I am a fairly good doubles player.  Anyway you are probably only hearing about it because I had a win.  Often when Merril asks “how’d you go?” I say “I don’t want to talk about it.” 
I did not do much after that.  There were newes to see but contrary to the opinion of some I do not watch 14 newes.  I try to watch a local one and a national one.  I will watch something during the day to keep up with what is happening.
I do go to bed early, but I also get up early too.  Lately I have been really pleased as I am sleeping through to the time I like to get up which is about 4am.  I actually get a lot done early.  It tends to be less as the day progresses unless there is something planned.  Then I am into it.
I so tend to watch a few mysteries.  I do get into them.  A lot of other shows I walk away from.  Only because there are things I am more interested in doing.
Hardly exciting.  But it is typical of my days and I am into it.
