800

Wow!  This is article 800.  I never thought I would be here.  Actually I never thought about it at all really.  800 is like two years, two months and 11 days but who is counting (oh that does not account for leap years, even though there were none – but here is it!).  800 articles is like 400,000 words.  Goodness knows why it takes me 400,000 words to say what can be summed up in three – I need help (but you knew that already).  Still, I guess I am a journey, not just a destination guy.
What I am finding is readers are my guinea pigs.  Not like, little furry animals.  I really appreciate you reading this stuff.  No one has to.  It’s not the law.  Reminds me of a song I love that has the words, “Sometimes a certain smell will take me back to when I was young, How come I'm never able to identify where it's coming from, I'd make a candle out of it if I ever found it, Try to sell it, never sell out of it, I'd probably only sell one, It'd be to my brother, 'cause we have the same nose, same clothes, homegrown, A stone's throw from a creek we used to roam, But it would remind us of when nothing really mattered, Out of student loans and tree-house homes we would always take the latter.”
Writing helps me work out what I think about.  I reach a conclusion and put it out there.  I think about every sentence.  If I am uncomfortable, I change it.  Sometimes I look at sentences and think, “that’s not right.”
I prefer to have errors highlighted.  I cannot correct if I do not know.  Sometimes it is just a difference of opinion.  That is ok by me.  I know we are all entitled to think as we will, and there is good chance someone else will not see things as I do.  I cannot help it if they are way off base!  Often someone else has thought something though more than I have.  But anyone’s theory can be erroneous – even mine, but it is highly unlikely 😊
There is stuff that is fairly easy and other stuff is really complicated.  I appreciate hearing another’s view.  Opinions may be based on experience, and that is worth heaps to me.  But experience is not always the way it has to be, or a “set-in stone” thing.  It may be based on prejudice.  If I am pre-disposed one way, then what I go through is seen through that prism.  Some prisms require I do a U-Turn.  It may start off ok, but lead to a cliff. 
I may passionately believe two plus two equals three.  The implications can be fairly nonconsequential unless I do the maths to land a space craft on an asteroid. At best it will go sailing by the intended target, and wander in space.
Or my mistake may be by only one degree.  At first one degree does not look much, but project it out from a circle, and it is way off.  If my thinking is flawed by one degree, I need to know about it.   Saves later angst.  It is one of the reasons I am concerned at a 50% pass rate.  The future may reference the unknown 50%.
No one of us is perfectly correct all the time. I need to make regular adjustments.  If I am unwilling to make adjustments, there is a good chance I will only be a caricature of my potential.
